Leonel & Carlette Raphael
Leonel and Carlette are native Haitians. Carlette grew up in her grandfather’s church, and she cherished the dream to marry a preacher and serve him like her grandmother did. Leonel was the first among many of his relatives to accept Christ when he was 16.
Leonel was a diplomat who studied and served his country in Haiti and Europe. Carlette was a secretary for the Haitian senate. They were also ministering in local churches when the Lord called them to full-time ministry. They left their careers and moved to Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, IL.
Leonel completed his masters in Bible in May 1999, and they moved back to Haiti and founded the Haiti Christian Vision Ministries (HCVM). Leonel is currently ministering at the Grace Christian Church of Delmas in Port-au-Prince and is currently working hard with other communities toward planting new churches in Haiti.
Leonel is also the Protestant representative to the Electoral Council in Haiti which plays an important role in setting up elections for the Haitian Senate and Presidency.
In 2003, they decided to affiliate with New Mission Systems International. They have four children: Henry, Carl, Caleb and Gloria.
