Todd and Angela Owen met while studying at Ozark Christian College (OCC).  Todd graduated from OCC in 1993 with a 5-year degree in missions and Bible.  Angela graduated from Missouri Southern State College with an associate degree in nursing.  In 1993, they moved to Duncanville, Texas, to study linguistics and Bible translation principles making a 1997 move to Papua New Guinea.  In New Guinea, the Owen family lived with the Somau Garia people, learning their language and culture and translating the Gospel According to Mark, which was dedicated Easter Sunday, 2007.

Todd and Angela affiliated with NMSI in 2010 to continuing ministering to missionaries with pastoral care.  God has asked us to care for missionaries in a way that helps them stay vibrant and fruitful in their prospective cross-cultural ministries.  For now that means working here at the CGO, developing the member care and crisis management ministries.

Todd is helping build resilient teams at NMSI through leadership of the Member Care and Retention Group and Crisis Management and Contingency Planning Team.  Angela ministers to NMSI missionaries through hospitality and prayer ministry.  The Owen kids are third-culture kids who grew up in the jungles of New Guinea and are uniquely gifted to reach out to missionary kids.

The Owen family is: Todd and Angela, Andrew (1/94), Samuel (8/95), Abigail (12/97), Hannah (10/2000) and Josie (1/2004). They love to cook together, laugh and share life with others.
