Transforming prayer in Pachuca
Sergio Alvarado was born in Mexico City but has lived most of his life in Pachuca, Mexico. After accepting Christ and being baptized at 16, Sergio became involved in evangelism, worship, youth leadership and leadership training. Holly was born in Bandung, Indonesia, as a child of missionaries, then moved to Mexico at age 2. In her teens, Holly moved to Pachuca with her family to be part of a church planting team. Sergio and Holly met at New Hope Church in Pachuca where they were youth leaders and part of the worship team. They were married in 2003.
To prepare for further ministry, Sergio and Holly attended Kentucky Christian University, with Sergio getting his degree in Intercultural Studies, Missions and Ministry and Holly hers in Psychology and Family Counseling. Following their studies, Sergio and Holly returned to Mexico to serve with IMPACTO Latino in Pachuca, alongside Holly’s parents Eric and Dee Duggins. Sergio and Holly have two daughters, Abby and Emmy.
