Enjoying the bounty of God’s earth
Megan began to feel an ever-growing calling towards mission work in Africa in 1998 when she went to Uganda and spent two years working with university students. She returned to Zimbabwe, Africa, in 2007 to work with an agricultural ministry called Foundations for Farming (FfF), a ministry that combines biblical principles with sustainable agricultural techniques. Demonstration gardens, called “Well Watered Gardens,” are planted in local communities and serve as living billboards. Megan feels called to work alongside small-scale farmers and children, helping them increase their profitability and come fully into their identity as greatly loved children of God. She affiliated with NMSI in 2009.
Megan is a 1998 graduate from Taylor University and a 2003 graduate from Wheaton College Graduate School. She also completed a year-long internship in tropical agriculture with ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization). During her internship at ECHO, she took care of the Foundations for Farming demonstration plot at ECHO, and eventually traveled to Zimbabwe to learn first-hand from the founder of this powerful ministry.
Megan begins her ministry in Malawi January 2102 with a Foundations for Farming team, located outside of Blantyre.
