Teaching youth in Haiti
Joshua began attending church when he was 15 and felt called into full-time ministry during his senior year in High School. He attended Milligan college and in 2006 gained his degree in biblical studies with a minor in sociology. God has led him to work with youth in ministry and missions for the past 10 years.
Although Joshua thought his work would be with youth stateside, about 8 years ago He began to realize God was calling him to overseas mission with youth. Joshua interned with NMSI in 2006 and loved the way they did mission. After learning about YouthHOPE, he realized God was asking him to serve youth overseas, wherever that may be. He affiliated with NMSI in 2009.
Joshua is taking on the role of Assistant Director of Global Youth Worker support and development. This involves communicating with the Global Youth Workers (GYW) and searching out the best way NMSI can support and encourage them stateside. As requests come in from GYWs, he will be managing those requests or passing them along to the correct person as needed. He looks forward to participating in the development of our partnership in Haiti with Nego and Ellen Pierre-Louis.
In February 2012, Joshua will be marrying Sarah Waddell, fellow YouthHope youth worker. They Lord has given them shared passions to reach global youth.
