Ministering to skaters on the streets of Santiago
John, a small town Kentucky boy, feels led by God to urban youth ministry in the big city of Santiago, Chile. John has a Bachelors degree in Education from Kentucky Christian University and a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language) certification from Oxford Seminars. Teaching in public schools, foreign language institutes, and church youth ministries since 2001, have provided diverse, unique, and exciting experiences for John.
In 2009, he affiliated with NMSI to begin full-time youth ministry/missions with Urban Action Ministries in Santiago, Chile. John understands that youth are a critical group to minister to, and that they are often overlooked. John has been in Santiago, Chile, since summer 2011. He loves skating at the parks, getting together to eat meals, and sharing the hope of Jesus with those who haven’t yet heard or understood the gospel.
