An abundant harvest of moringa leaves

Holly is from Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated with a BS in Agriculture Missions from Lubbock Christian University.  After graduating, she spent a year doing a tropical agriculture internship at ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization) in Ft. Myers, Florida, to better prepare for future service in a developing country.

Jesus cares about the whole person, body and spirit, and He placed on Holly’s heart a desire to do holistic ministry in Southeast Asia.  In 2006, Holly joined NMSI and spent two years in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, teaching about agriculture and nutrition.  She then joined the work of CAMA (Compassion and Mercy Associates) Services in 2009 in Battambang, Cambodi,a doing church-based community development.

In Battambang, Holly and CAMA have done things such as a rice coop, AIDS homecare ministry, agriculture and nutrition training, and job/income generation.  CAMA also started “Moringa for Health,” a growing social enterprise that produces and sells nutritional products and beauty products made from the moringa tree.  This business/ministry employs and empowers Cambodians, opens doors to share about Christ, and has given supplemental income to marginalized AIDS patients and church people living on the edge financially.
