Reaching and discipling youth on their turf
Habacuc and Liz Diaz, with their children, have been missionaries to Habacuc’s hometown, Santiago Chile, since December 2006. They met and married while studying at Kentucky Christian College. They were blessed to minister in church planting and camp ministry before becoming missionaries to urban youth in Santiago Chile. Their passions are relationship, relevance and hope, and how Jesus Christ is at the center of them all.
In the summer of 2002, the idea of Urban Action presented itself. Since then, God has been guiding Habacuc and Liz in making UA a reality. Urban Action is a ministry that focuses on building meaningful relationships with the urban youth of Santiago Chile ¬and right now that attention is focused on skateboarders.
Habacuc and Liz go outside of the church to reach the skaters where they are at, building a relationship on the common interest of skateboarding. As they build meaningful relationships with the youth, they’re able to share with them the amazing message of Jesus Christ and how He gives hope to every aspect of their lives and to ours.
