Hanging out with teens in Sofia
Gabriel and Melissa married in May 2005 after graduating from Milligan College - Gabriel with a B.A. in History and Melissa with a B.A. in Bible and Ministry. When looking for a mission organization, the opportunity to work at NMSI’s home offices and the authenticity of NMSI’s community brought Gabriel and Melissa to Fort Myers until the Lord led them overseas.
Gabe and Melissa have been called to Bulgaria where they are ministering to youth. They arrived in August of 2007 and have been effectively using their gifts and passion for youth and family ministry. Their ministry consists of connecting with students through outdoor adventure sports which includes mountain biking, hiking and backpacking, as well as leading a youth Alpha Course (an introduction to Christianity). In addition, they are working in schools, leading experiential learning and team concepts, as well as teaching the book “Youth at the Crossroads” created by Agape Ministries. Gabe and Melissa desire to make disciples among the youth of Bulgaria and long to see the local Bulgarian church growing stronger with the Christian leaders of the next generation.
