Brian and Elizabeth met in Chicago at Moody Bible Institute, which led them to explore missions and resulted in their serving in Macedonia. They were introduced to NMSI through David and Brenda Aderholdt, who are affiliates in Macedonia. They resonate with the vision of NMSI to join with God to restore his dominion on Earth and to foster Jesus following communities.
Brian and Elizabeth work with professionals in Skopje, Macedonia. Through partnering with the International Church of Skopje and volunteering in local businesses, they are able to come alongside individuals in Macedonia and introduce them to an authentic relationship with Christ.
The Richards have also been involved in starting two churches through leading Bible Studies, women’s outreaches and children’s programs. Elizabeth is working at an International School, teaching children with dyslexia, giving her opportunity to work closely with other teachers and to develop relationships with many families. Brian is developing a Corporate Social Responsibility program that challenges business to focus on people and the environment, rather than simply profit. This enables him to develop relationships with people in the business community and share Christ with them. Together, they serve in the International Church of Skopje on the worship team, and Brian on the preaching team.
Brian and Elizabeth have four children: Micah (1996), Josiah (1998), Anastacia (2001) and Zechariah (2004).
