Adam and Kristy leading an intern team to SE Asia

Adam grew up in Georgetown, Ohio, and became a Christian in high school. After graduating in 2004, Adam enrolled at Ohio State University and the following summer went on a short-term mission project to Haiti with his home church. God used the exposure to extreme poverty and the great need of His people to change the direction of Adam’s life, which led him to Cincinnati Christian University (CCU). While at CCU, God planted in Adam a desire to do youth ministry outside of the USA. Adam found NMSI which offered an internship involving both missions and youth ministry and spent the summer of 2007 in India as an NMSI intern. Kristy grew up in Texas and graduated from Ozark Christian College with her Bachelors in Bible and Psychology in 2008. Through several short-term mission projects with her church and college, Kristy discovered her love for impoverished communities, youth and God’s heart for those who have not heard the gospel.

Adam and Kristy affiliated with NMSI in 2008 and are currently working out of NMSI’s Center for Global Outreach (CGO) in Fort Myers, Florida, working with YouthHOPE, NMSI’s global youth ministry division. YouthHOPE exists to transform the lives of global youth through equipping the Church to meet the holistic needs of their youth. Adam serves as the Director of Community Development and Kristy serves as the Director of Holistic Outreach and Mobilization. They are often in Africa or Asia working on a projects training youth workers, partnering with the local church to create sustainable ministries, and leading short-term teams.

Adam and Kristy met at NMSI and were married April 10, 2010.
