NMSI Involvement:

NMSI has been involved in Timor-Leste since 2005 in partnership with the Brazilian church which God has called to minister to this new country.  Brazilian missionaries, fluent in Portuguese, one of the official languages of Timor-Leste, are involved at both the government and local levels to reach the Timorese for Christ.

Current ministries in Timor-Leste include:

• Law and legal counsel
• Strengthening local Timorese church
• Rehabilitation of women and children from abuse

Prayer Points

• Wisdom and insight in the development of national and international laws
• For a strong Christian witness within the government and international community
• For the spread of the Gospel among the Timorese
• For the love of God to minister to the abused women and children who have sought refuge in shelters
