NMSI Involvement

NMSI has been involved in Thailand since 2005. We currently are ministering with church planting in villages among the Lisu tribe. With two of the missionaries being native Lisu, they have a close connection to the people and special insight in how to reach them for Christ. The Lord is also guiding several of our missionaries in ministering to the thousands of youth who live in the city, separated from their families, to receive an education. These youth are at risk of getting involved in drugs, prostitution and simply getting steeped in a life without the knowledge and hope that comes in Christ alone.

Current ministries in Thailand include:

• Evangelism and church planting among the Lisu tribe
• Rehabilitation for orphans and children taken out of the sex trade
• Agricultural development as a means to evangelize and disciple
• Short-term summer internships

Prayer Points

• Pray for the church-planting ministries among the Lisu, particularly the outreach to youth through conferences and Sunday school
• For the upcoming summer internship, that the interns would make a strong impact in the Thai community
