NMSI Involvement
NMSI has been in Chile continuously since 2004 with the arrival of Aaron and Angie Arnold (who are now at CGO and directing YouthHope). NMSI missionaries Habacuc and Liz Diaz-Ramos arrived in Chile in 2006 and began establishing Urban Action, a ministry that shares Christ by building relationships and serving through skate ministry. In July 2011, NMSI missionary John Laffoon arrive in Chile to work with Habacuc and Liz. Throughout NMSI’s years in Chile, summer interns have also come to learn about the culture, the youth and to serve alongside our missionary team. Short-term projects are periodically available as well.
Current ministries in Chile include:
- Skateboarding ministry to youth
- Evangelism and discipleship
- Short-term field experience with urban youth
Prayer Points
- To reach the youth of Santiago, Chile, in a relevant way with a relevant message of hope in Christ
- For those teenagers who are being discipled, that they would wrestle issues of faith in their post-modern culture
- For additional workers for the harvest in Chile
- For resources to be available to continue this important work
