Entering their Great Rest

Thursday, March 18, 2010 - rflory
With greatly mixed emotions, we honor the lives of two NMSI missionaries, both of whom entered their Great Rest this past week.

Friday, March 12, John Hamilton passed away from a blood clot following
weeks of heart complications. John's wife, Alyona, and daughter, Sasha (4), spent many years ministering in Russia before moving back to the States to help with our corporate facilities. John's quiet, servant heart will be greatly missed among us. Alyona recently received a full-time position in the local hospital system with benefits. She and Sasha will remain in the Fort Myers area.

Wednesday, March 17, Kylee Boden, pregnant in week 35, was rushed to the emergency room with a condition we now know was eclampsia. Doctors performed a Cesarean section and delivered Caleb Boden, who is healthy and well. Kylee experienced some intracranial bleeding and other complications, and she did not recover through the day. She met her Savior shortly b efore 6:00 that evening. Matt and Kylee have ministered at the Center for Global Outreach in various counseling, mentoring and training roles. Kylee's unexpected death touches as many lives as her g reat love did. They have four children: twins Seth and Lydia (5), Sarai (2 1/2), and Caleb.

Please join us in celebrating the lives of John and Kylee and in lifting the Hamilton and Boden families up in prayer. We praise our God who makes all things new.

Oh LORD, what gifts You gave in Kylee and John. How we grieve. We pray for the courage to face tomorrow, the courage Matt and Alyona will sorely need. Please keep gifting us all with your love and grace. Our gifts just are not big enough. Amen.
