Kathy Long
Kathy connected with NMSI through her friendship with David and Susan Weinman. David encouraged Kathy to go on a short-term mission trip to Russia in the summer of 2002. The following summer Kathy traveled on a short-term trip to Bulgaria. God used the relationships she developed and the experiences she had on these trips to make His will known for her to work at the Center for Global Outreach (CGO) in Fort Myers, Florida.
Kathy is a registered nurse. She works in the Medical Department of NMSI and helps administrate NMSI's health insurance program. She also works in the Spiritual Formation Division, counseling and mentoring missionaries, as well as helping in the Finance Division.

Christmas in Myanmar
 In Myanmar, especially within the church communities, Christmas is a
more public event than a family gathering, as it is in the West. The
traditional mainline churches celebrate the Christmas more like Western
ways, on Christmas day,
