Renée Flory

Renée was born and raised in rural Michigan, then attended college in both Tennessee and California. She graduated with an Associate degree in Art, Bachelor's degree in Human Services (with an emphasis in counseling) and topped it off with a teaching credential to teach Kindergarten prior to committing her life to missions.

Reneé became involved in missions in college, by serving in the hills of Appalachia and in the dump region of Tijuana, Mexico. The plight of the orphans abandoned in Romania under the dictatorship of Nikolai Ceausescu in 1989, and a short-term trip to Russia in 1997, ignited prayers in her to serve in Eastern Europe. In 2000, through involvement with missions in her church in California, Reneé was invited to work at Tavriski Christian Institute in Kherson, Ukraine, to minister to the students and staff of the college. Reneé served in Ukraine for five years, from 2000-2005, developing a deep love for the Ukrainian people, their culture and the Russian language.

In February 2007, God answered Reneé's prayers for affiliating with a mission organization by bringing her to NMSI for support, guidance, counsel, prayer and community. Renee’ is currently working in the Media division of NMSI’s Center for Global Outreach in Fort Myers, FL. Her currently specialty is administrating the NMSI website.

With her passion still being 'to encourage the saints', Renée loves to come alongside the female missionaries as they prepare for the field and when they return. She especially enjoys each COAT missionary training session where she has the honor of mentoring a young trainee each week. She looks forward to even investing more of her time in fellow NMSI missionaries.
